This aarti is sung in praise of the Goddess of wealth, prosperity, and fortune, especially during Diwali and every Friday. How to Perform

  1. Light a ghee lamp before the idol or image of Goddess Lakshmi
  2. Offer red flowers, lotus flowers, and incense
  3. Sing the aarti while moving the plate in a clockwise circular motion before the Goddess
  4. Performing this aarti on Fridays and during Diwali is considered especially auspicious
  5. Offer kheer (rice pudding) or sweets as prasad
