Introduction

“Aarti Kijai Hanuman Lala Ki” is the most popular aarti dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Hanuman, the son of the wind god (Pavanputra), is the supreme devotee and servant of Lord Rama. This aarti describes His immense strength, devotion, and unwavering dedication to Raghunath (Lord Rama).

Significance

The Hanuman Aarti holds special significance as Hanuman Ji is known as Sankat Mochan (remover of difficulties) and Bajrangbali (the one with a body as strong as a thunderbolt). Singing this aarti is believed to destroy fear, calamities, and evil forces. Performing this aarti on Tuesdays and Saturdays is considered especially fruitful.

How to Perform

  1. Light a ghee or oil lamp before the idol or image of Lord Hanuman
  2. Offer sindoor (vermillion), chameli (jasmine) oil, and red flowers
  3. Sing the aarti while moving the plate in a clockwise circular motion before Hanuman Ji
  4. Offer boondi or laddoo as prasad
  5. Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa after the aarti is considered extremely auspicious
